I completed this app prototype design on spec for Home Depot. Deliverables included sketches, design justification, and an interactive prototype. I was asked to build an app that would boost associate morale by enabling them to custom design and order apron-uniforms within specific brand-friendly parameters.
Process: I began by researching the project goals with the product owner and establishing objectives for the application development. I uncovered the project's parameters through inquiry with the same PO. I sketched a rough whiteboard design with four screens, and was then asked to iterate on that within a 48-hour timeline. I performed informal, on-site user interviews at a Home Depot store and discovered valuable insights that reshaped the app (such as offering options for what types of straps on the apron). I tested the design with friends to ensure that accessibility and friendliness remained paramount. I used Proto.io to construct the prototype.
